Life Coaching

Life Coaching is about “unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them” John Whitmore (2002)

Life Coaching and Counselling & Psychotherapy are two practices that compliment each other but are typically practiced as separate fields. A qualification in just one of the fields of practice can impose limitations on the practitioner and it is only through holding qualifications in both areas that Robert bridges the gap between the two fields. By bridging this gap, many Counselling/Psychotherapy clients  have been able to benefit from some Life Coaching input and similarly Life Coaching clients have benefited from having a little therapy included in their Life Coaching session.

As a stand alone practice Life Coaching can help an individual identify realistic and achievable goals and motivate them towards achieving those goals and making positive change in their life. Whether you are stuck in a rut in your current job, trying to find an area of work that suits you or feeling like making a change but are unsure how to go about it, Life Coaching can help.

Sessions can be held in our office in Malahide village or for your convenience, Robert will travel to a location close to your place of work. Each Life Coaching session last for 1 hour and is charged on a sliding scale basis, the actual rate depends on time of day and location of meeting. The maximum fee is €75 per session. Typically 4 to 6 consecutive sessions are needed to help you discover what is required to make positive changes in your life and to take the first steps towards achieving your new goals. Some clients often avail of follow-up sessions as needed.
