M.A. Counselling & Psychotherapy
Lisa’s therapeutic approach is influenced by her view that behaviour is the function of the person and their environment. In her work she engages with her clients by looking at how they interact with the world around them. Lisa uses a Humanistic Integrative approach to therapy tailoring her approach to what that suits her client’s need, using approaches such as CBT and Mindfulness where appropriate.
Based on best practice evidence Lisa believes that it is the therapist-client relationship, the foundation of all good therapy, which facilitates change for people. Lisa likes to listen to people and give them the space to know that it’s ok not to feel 100% all of the time. She believes that counselling should be a safe environment where trust can be built to share burdens and then create new ways to get through life’s many challenges.
In 2018 Lisa earned an M.A. in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is now working towards her final accreditation with I.A.C.P.
LISA IS AVAILABLE FOR LOW COST COUNSELLING ON MONDAY & TUESDAY MORNINGS ONLY.
