Patricia is a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist accredited with IAHIP – Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, and ICP – Irish Council for Psychotherapy, and has been working in private practice for over 10 years in Dublin and in The Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre, Drogheda.
Patricia’s initial training and work was in Nursing, both Mental Health and General. Having taken time out of the work force to raise her children she decided to retrain as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist with Dublin Counselling & Psychotherapy Centre. More recently she has also studied MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction)and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) with Centre For Mindfulness in Medicine and Healthcare, University of Massachusetts and with The Institute for Mindfulness Based Approaches, Germany
Patricia’s work integrates skills and concepts from various Psychotherapeutic approaches. Listening, wholeheartedly and without judgement, to the full experience of the client, within a confidential and safe therapeutic relationship remains the backbone of my Person Centered approach.
Patricia welcomes anyone (adults) seeking to find relief from any of life’s many challenges and stresses or for personal development, working with you through your present experience and helping you find that place within where you are already whole and where your own answers can be found.
Availability in Malahide Counselling and Psychotherapy: Tuesdays and Wednesday afternoon & evenings.
